Dear Patient:
Effective communication plays a key role in the doctor-patient
relationship. One measure of our success depends on a patient's ability to
reach our offices and have his or her call handled in a prompt, efficient
fashion, which is why I'd like to take a moment to tell you about our new,
recently installed, state-of-the-art phone system at Orthopaedic Associates.
Our practice has grown considerably in the past few years, increasing the
volume of phone calls to our offices. We recognized that our phone system
did not keep up with our growth. The new phone system is designed to
handle this expansion. It is important to let you know that significant
changes in how your calls are answered have been made and we thank you for
your patience.
The most important aspect of this new system is that a live
operator will still greet our patients first, not a voicemail recording
listing many confusing options. Your call will then be transferred
appropriately. If the person you'd like to speak to is on another line or unavailable, you will
have the option to either stay on the line or leave a voicemail message.
The new phone system also links all of our offices so patients in the area
do not have to call long distance.
Obviously it is very important to us
that everything is functioning properly and is accommodating to our patient
population. Please feel free to call me personally with any suggestions you
may have.
Thanks again for your patience and cooperation during this
transition period.
Sincerely,
James G. Linz, CEO
Orthopaedic Associates
